NSG 200 Fundamentals of Nursing
An overview of the nursing profession including history, roles, ethical foundations, and theoretical frameworks. Emphasis is placed on the development of professional identity, legal responsibilities, and the integration of a Christian worldview into nursing practice. Introduces the basic principles, concepts, and skills required for safe, effective nursing care. Students develop competence in foundational nursing skills through lab and simulation experiences. Clinical experiences emphasize health promotion and patient safety in diverse settings. (4 semester hours credit)
