5120 Hospitality Operations and Revenue Management

An advanced course that provides a comprehensive exploration of the critical intersection between hospitality operations and revenue management strategies. Students will develop a deep understanding of how to optimize financial performance through the effective analysis of operational data, the strategic application of revenue management principles, and the informed use of technology. This course emphasizes data-driven decision-making, the interpretation of financial performance reports, and the implementation of pricing and inventory control tactics to maximize revenue and profitability while considering diverse stakeholder perspectives. Students will gain practical skills in forecasting demand, managing distribution channels, segmenting markets, and leveraging industry-standard metrics for performance analysis and benchmarking. This course also examines the strategic role of technology and operational efficiency in achieving revenue management goals within the dynamic hospitality landscape. Prerequisite MBA 5030.
