MHC 5011 Advanced Psychopathology
A course designed to assist students in understanding case conceptualization. Instruction will be focused on assemssment, etiology, cultural issues, differential diagnostics, and evidence-based approaches to treatment. Students will learn to utilize the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual classificiation system (DSM V) to diagnose, conceptualize, and counsel clients. Additionally, empahsis will be placed on the intergration and utilization of current peer-reviewed reserach to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Three semester hours credit.
