ENG 222 Survey of American Literature I

A study of works representative of American literature and literary philosophies from the Colonial Period through the Civil War. The course offers instruction in critical reading and writing with an objective of improving approaches to the analysis of literature from several literary periods. Prerequisite: ENG 152. Three semester hours credit.
